" This is an alpha version, that is far more useful, and easier to use than either LibreOffice or 'GNOME Office' 'stable' versions that randomly reformat documents, freeze, crash, or have little or no compatibility with Microsoft Office documents.
True, it cannot do everything that the latest versions of MSO can do, but it's a darned site more useful than ANY of the other libre versions.
If you're familiar or more comfortable with MSO, then WPS Office is THE best alternative, and if you prefer the 'classic' look rather than the 'ribbon' toolbar, then that is easy to change.
And, oh yes, WPS Office is FAST. That may be because it's not necessary to bloat your system with JRE. "
